With the help of Jerry Lee and the MG2 Foundation, Bruce Lee fans may have a place to gather in the martial artist’s hometown. Jerry, who was instrumental in the design of the Chinatown-International District’s (CID) Chinatown Gate, has strong relationships with the District and the City.
“A statue of Bruce Lee in High Hay Park will both raise the awareness of the CID, attracting tourists to the area and further support the small businesses and restaurants in the neighborhood,” says Jerry Lee.
Lee is spearheading the drive to raise funds to coat a fiberglass sculpture of Bruce Lee, donated from the Bruce Lee Foundation, and is working with the City to place it. This year, the Foundation has raised $ number toward its goal of $90,000.
